Post Traumatic Stress- due to reproductive trauma- Intrusive reexperiencing of past traumatic event(s), flashbacks, nightmares, avoidance of reminders of the event, irritability, difficulty sleeping, hypervigilance, exaggerated startle response, anxiety, panic attacks, feelings of unreality and detachment
Panic Attacks-Sudden intense fear, feelings of unreality, fear of heart attack/death, racing heart, nausea, dizziness, trembling/shaking, racing heart, sweating, numbness or tingling, shortness of breath
Perinatal OCD- Persistent, repetitive intrusive thoughts or mental images (obsessions) related to the baby that are very upsetting, experienced as bizarre, and not things you would ever act on. Compulsions-repetitive behaviors performed to reduce fears and obsessions (i.e. constant cleaning, repetitive checking, counting or reordering). Fear of being left alone with your baby. Hypervigilance in protecting your baby.

Perinatal Depression- Anger, irritability, rage, lack of interest in baby, loss of interest/joy/pleasure in previously preferred activities, appetite and sleep changes, crying, sadness, guilt, shame, hopelessness, worthlessness, difficulty making decisions, lack of motivation, emptiness, possible thoughts of harming your baby or yourself
